[nospaces] [attr="class","sidebar"] [attr="class","icon"] [attr="class","text-area"] The gym leader didn’t know if it was a good thing or bad thing that he felt the same way. Taking a deep breath, the man extended his hand for the door handle. His massive hell hound let out a low weary growl which made Maverick question his actions. Canine’s were known to have a sixth sense, knowing when something bad or dangerous was about to happen. But despite this, his hell houndoom seemed rather content with this decision. But just as Maverick’s hand grasped the handle and readied to pull it open, the door itself opened it.[break][break]
A sudden blast of cool wind laced with snow thrusted the door open hard to the point where it almost broke it straight off the hinges. The wind so cold and harsh it sent anyone close enough off their feet and a few paces back. Maverick’s hands lifted to shield his face from the blizzard, stumbling back a few feet before he lost his footing and landed with a soft thud on his butt. Azula stumbled back, a ferocious snarl ripped through her throat as her muzzle opened ready to snap. The blizzard continued for a few moments, forcing Maverick to shield his face as ice crystals formed on anything in its path. The man cursed under his breath, both for his sore butt and the unexpected attack.[break][break]
When the blizzard settled, four froslass emerged out from the little house and floated above the group. They circled them, all of their expressions revealed they were pissed about something. Maverick scrambling to his feet, moving so he was next to his partner in crime. Warm gaze glared at them as they gave their ghostly ghoul. It appeared to only be one way out of this. And he didn’t know about his partner, but he had a feeling negotiating with them wasn’t an option.[break][break]
“You take two and I take two?” He offered in a low tone to him, both mocking and serious. Although he was confident in his abilities to take them all himself, he had to make his partner do some of the work. After all, he just took four blizzards to the face. But before his partner had time to answer back (or really for Maverick to listen), the man sprang into action. With Azula by his side, nothing could stop him.[break][break]
“Fire blast!”[break][break]
This order made the frolass move more sporadically. The massive six foot seven hell houndoom took in a deep breath, eyes locked on a target. The taste of hot sulfur licked her throat as lava boiled in her gut. In not time at all, her muzzle bust open to send a blast of fire at one of the froslass. It’s eyes opened wide, immobilize by the sheer heat that eradicated off the attack. Not to mention, the close range of it. Much like a deerling caught in head lights, it didn’t move as the blast of flames scorched its body. It left out a shrill, vanishing into thin air.[break][break]
One down, one to go.[break][break]
Maverick franticly search for the other one, spotting it in the corner of his eye as it appeared to be fleeing. “No you don’t. Azula snatch it!” The canine didn’t hesitate, long muscular legs flexed and launched herself forward. Her muzzle opened wide, teeth ready to clamp down at the little ghostly body. The froslass screeched, turning and sending a shadow ball at Azula in hopes to get away. The canine clamped down on the shadow ball, breaking it into pieces while still keeping up with the ghost. And when she was within range, her muzzle unlocked her jaw and crunched down on the little ice and ghost types body. The creature screamed, little fist punched at her head. Azula began to whipped her head around, a boiling snarl ripped through her as she whaled her head around. The froslass screamed, wiggling against the houndoom’s grip on her body. Soon, the pain became too much and it gave up. Eyes closed as it slipped into unconsciousness.[break][break]
With the two taken care of, Maverick turned to see if he handled his two. The guy seemed like he could handle himself but in reality, the gym leader didn’t know anything about him. For all he knew, the man was a big joke. "Was that enough excitement for you?"
